Excess treatment cost funding guidance

New guidance has been published (27th Sep) on the national management model for excess treatment costs (ETCs) for England. Although the guidance does not contain substantial amounts of new information, it does provide a detailed assessment of the continuing funding arrangements, and also confirms that the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England & NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) are continuing to work with the Clinical Research Network (CRN) to review the eligibility criteria for investigator-initiated commercially-funded studies.

The guidance can be accessed on the NHSE&I site.
